Before he died in 2012, Neil Garvey was the embodiment of culture and the arts in Buffalo and throughout Western New York. He graced the stage at the Kavinoky Theatre, the Irish Classical Theatre Company and, among others, Shakespeare in Delaware Park.
Neil knew that the arts were an important part of any community and worked tirelessly to foster Buffalo's theaters.
In his honor, the Neil E. Garvey Foundation for the Arts seeks to continue that effort, raising money for the many artistic endeavors Neil loved so well in Buffalo and throughout Western New York.
This foundation is just getting started. But like Neil and like the theater community he helped to build, we have the passion necessary to grow. Come back to this site often for more information on how you can be a part of this effort and how you can help the arts in Western New York.
